Arrive and chill in Tromso. Tromso is the largest city in Northern Norway, known for its
stunning natural beauty, vibrant cultural scene, and fascinating history. Check into your boutique property, which has been carefully selected to provide you with a comfortable and convenient base for your explorations. Take some time to relax and settle in, and then head out to explore the city. Self Guided audio tour included.
After breakfast, get your Private Car and hit the road and drive to Sommaroy, a picturesque island known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and charming fishing villages. Along the way, you’ll pass through some of Norway’s most breathtaking countryside, with plenty of photo opportunities along the way. Stop at
scenic overlooks, take a short hike through the hills, and spend the rest of the day
exploring the island. Take a refreshing dip in the ocean. In the evening, enjoy a
delicious seafood dinner at one of the local restaurants, and then settle in for a
peaceful night’s sleep.
After breakfast, set out on a scenic drive from Tromsø to Senja Island. Enjoy the
stunning views of the Norwegian coastline and the surrounding islands during the drive. Once you arrive on Senja Island, continue your drive along the coastline, stopping frequently to take in the breathtaking views of the rugged mountains and the
crystal-clear waters of the Norwegian Sea. As the day draws to a close, check into
your boutique accommodation on Senja and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the
island.
Drive from Senja to Andenes, a charming village on Andoya Island, located north of
the Lofoten Islands. Andenes is known for its diverse landscapes and is an excellent
destination for nature lovers. Once you arrive in Andenes, check into your boutique
accommodation and spend the afternoon exploring the village and its surroundings.
In the evening, embark on a thrilling whale watching tour. Andenes is one of the best
places in the world to see whales, and you’ll have the opportunity to see several
different species, including orcas, humpback whales, and sperm whales. Enjoy the
stunning views of the Norwegian Sea and the surrounding islands as you search for
these majestic creatures. After the tour, return to your hotel.
Set out towards the fishing village of Stø — a beautiful 2.5-hour drive from Andenes,
93 miles away (151 km).
From here, you’ll hike along Dronningruta, the Queen’s Route. This moderate, 9-mile (15 km) round trip takes you along the shoreline and over the mountain between Stø and
the old fishing village of Nyksund, in the far north of Langøya, Norway’s third largest
island. Named after Queen Sonja, who first visited the island in 1994, the route itself is much older and has been used by many people, including (according to legend) the midwife of Stø on her way to births in Nyksund. The route is now a combination of two well-
marked hiking trails (a low and high route) running along the ocean’s edge. Together, they form an incredibly beautiful walk.
The drive will take around 5 hours, so be sure to give yourself ample time to stop along
the way and take in the breathtaking views of the Norwegian countryside.
Once you arrive in Lofoten, check in to your cabin hotel in the charming fishing village
of Reine. This picturesque village is surrounded by rugged mountains and stunning
fjords, and is an excellent base for exploring the beauty of the Lofoten Islands.
In the evening, consider taking a hike to enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding
landscapes. You can hike to the top of Reinebringen.
This is a great way to experience the stunning natural beauty of the area up close and
from a unique perspective.
During the kayaking tour, you will paddle through the crystal-clear waters of the fjords
and along the coastline, taking in the rugged mountains, charming fishing villages, and
picturesque beaches that make the Lofoten Islands so special. Your experienced guide
will provide insights into the local history, culture, and wildlife, and help you spot seals,
eagles, and other marine life that call the area home.
It’s time to say farewell to Norway! Today’s journey starts with a car ferry from Moskenes to Bodø. From there, you’ll drive to Narvik and stay the night a city centre
hotel. Explore the small town on foot and try out the many restaurants in the city.
Option to do a small hike if you reach on time.
From Narvik, you’ll drive the beautiful coastal road to Tromso where you will return the
rental car and fly back to either Oslo or board your departing flight home. Although it’s
time to say goodbye to Norway, the memories from your trip will surely stay with you
forever!
